“This wine list has grown and evolved to express my love of storytelling, travel and a delicious glass of wine with friends. I hope your selection transports you - to the salty coast of Corsica or a traverse in the Swiss Alps - with just a sip”
Lulu, the legendary matriarch of Domaine Tempier in Bandol, Provence, welcomed me to the most memorable winery visit of my lifetime. She died 2 years ago at the age of 101, and to me she is absolute proof that “one should only drink wine, water will make one rust.” This rosé is drinkable Provençalesunshine, and we toast Lulu’s legacy with every bottle we open.
Šuman
When we visited Radovan Schuman at his biodynamic winery in Slovenia, we found a generous man who is somewhere between farmer and shaman. His love, connection, and intuition for all living things “visible and invisible” that contribute to his wine results in some of the most exciting, unique wines that we offer.
Quintarelli
I had the rare privilege to visit Quintarelli in the Veneto, Italy, and go behind the scenes. Where modern winemaking orthodoxy rushes the grapes from harvest to fermentation, Quintarelli takes a decidedly different approach by hanging their just-picked fruit to dry for a few days or weeks. Nothing is hurried at Quintarelli, and the result are wines worth savoring.
"We are inspired by the great wines of Europe and their American counterparts, and have selected wines to compliment our cuisine. We feature small producers dedicated to making real, natural, food-friendly wines with a sense of place." - Annemarie Brown
